Shindig! tv show 1964-66

Shindig! was a rock and roll tv show that ran from September 1964 until January 1966 on the ABC network. It was the first of its kind featuring non-stop music, a house band featuring Billy Preston on organ, back up singers The Blossoms featuring Darlene Love and go-go dancers accompanying most of the acts. The host was Jimmy O'Neil, a deejay from LA.

Shindig! inspired several other rock and roll programs such as:
