This is a Scopitone. It's a video jukebox that was invented in France in the early 1960s and was made from surplus WWII airplane parts. They only lasted a few years. The Scopitones were the precursors to the music videos that started in the early 1980s.
Bedazzled has a bunch of Scopitones. The colors were very vivid as evident in one of the most well-known Scopitones: Nancy Sinatra performing Boots!
