Beat-Club from Germany looked like an incredible show. It ran from 1965-1972. The performances were mostly live with lots of audience shots. I love the beautiful and cool hostess. Here are some clips:

The Larry Kane Show, 1962

Many 1950s and 60s teen dance shows are no longer with us because the tv studio tapes were erased. Here's rare footage of the Larry Kane Show from Houston, Texas. It ran from 1959–1972. A guy in this 1962 clip mentioned in order to be on the show, you had to take dancing lessons at the dance school next door then pass a series of dance tests.

Much of today's music doesn't move me which is why I delve into the past to discover musicians that do speak to me. Last night I saw John Lodge of The Moody Blues at the Wilbur Theater in Boston. Their music has always sounded so beautiful to me. Maybe you think so too...

Wait Till Your Father Gets Home

Another show I remember from the cheesy 70s was this. It always confused me as to why daughter Alice came home from her date disheveled during the show's intro. Was she wasted? Date raped? WTF? The 70s were messed up. The show ran from 1972-1974.

The J. Geils Band

On rainy days when I was forced to hang out indoors, I would rummage through my family's albums and play records. I discovered one of the greatest live albums while listening to Full House.

Zoom tv show

A coworker recently mentioned that she's good friends with a former Zoomer. If you were a kid during its 1972-78 run, you watched Zoom every night at 6 on PBS. I haven't seen these show openings in 40 years yet I remember these kids so well. Send it to Zoom!
